Perfect for those who are new to glass beadmaking, as well as students who have taken a few introductory courses. Flameworking instructor Sheila Checkoway provides a solid foundation and builds on the fundamentals of soft glass manipulation. Students will learn to make glass beads through instructor demonstrations, discussions and lots of hands-on torch time. All materials are included.
Day One focuses on basic shapes and decorating techniques. Day Two includes advanced decorating techniques - using reduction glass, glass shards, and metals - such as silver and copper foil and wire.
Each day includes seven workshop hours with a one hour-lunch break.
Day 1 Saturday only: $175
Day 1 Saturday and Day 2 Sunday: $300
*Please note - students can take the Saturday class only, or the Saturday and Sunday class, but not the Sunday class only.
