Want to learn how to make glass beads but don't want to commit to an weekly class or full day workshop? This 2-hour introductory workshop is for you! In just a few hours, you'll learn the fundamentals of glass beadmaking using a gas and oxygen-fueled torch and soft glass.
Topics covered include safety, tools and equipment, properties of glass, manipulation of glass with a focus on heat control, annealing and glass compatibility, and finishing beads. Students will be introduced to the use of heat and gravity to shape molten glass. Each student will make between 5-8 beads in this class. Ideas for turning your beads into finished jewelry will be discussed. No experience is necessary and all materials are included. This makes a great parent/teen or "day date" event!
Registration is limited to 6 to allow for social distancing and participants must wear face masks. Read our Covid policies here.
Course fee: $120
