Stress-Reducing Printmaking Workshop

Whether you’re Van Gogh or a stick-figure sketcher, a new Drexel University study found that creating art significantly reduces stress-related hormones in your body.

Join us for a small group Stress-Reducing Printmaking workshop where participants will utilize mindful art techniques to clear their head before beginning a two-hour workshop on mono printing using a gelatin printing plate. Learning to be open to surprises and how to react to unexpected outcomes in art (and in life) is important.  When we leave negativity and perfectionism off the canvas (pun intended) we set our intentions, not our expectations and we are more kind to ourselves along the way. Join us for some creative fun!

This will be a beginner - level class; no experience necessary.  Participants will learn concepts in contrast, gradient, opacity, as well as negative and positive space.

Participants will leave with one 8x10 matted, frame ready art piece to enjoy or gift.  As well as many more prints to use for future projects like cards, or collage projects.

$55 per person includes all materials and tools.

5 spaces are available to allow for social distancing in our well-ventilated studio.

    Masks are required.
