Whether it’s getting out of bed in the morning, focusing on schoolwork, or settling down for the day, sometimes our children need a little help, especially in these recent tumultuous times.  Essential oils can be an excellent and easy tool to use with your family as part of their self-regulation and coping strategies. 

Join us on Thursday 10/15 for our new essential oil workshop, led by kids’ yoga instructor, Reiki Practitioner and Essential Oil educator Krista Gordon.

Krista will explain how and why essential oils help influence the limbic system, the part of the brain involved in behavioral and emotional responses. The right blends can improve focus, boost energy, uplift mood or soothe and calm the mind.  Once you’ve got the know-how, you’ll create your own “smell stick” kit, a set of six all-natural aromatherapy inhalers made with a blend of pure therapeutic-grade essential oils.  The pack of smell sticks is small and can travel with you, so you can always have it on hand to helpyour children feel their best, depending on their mood and the situation - whether it’s getting focused, calming down, or simply improving their mood. 

Simply take off the cap, breathe in, and the oils inside can improve mood and provide clarity.

 You’ll make 6 smell sticks: 

  • Calm – use when their surroundings are overwhelming
  • Confident - use when they need to feel brave, strong or ready to go
  • Focus - use when they can't sit still for schoolwork or homework
  • Happy - use when they feel sad, homesick or need a pick me up
  • Motivate - use when they feel tired or are procrastinating
  • Smart - use when they are too silly and need to be more present.

Well provide drinks and individually packaged snacks.  Participants are welcome to bring their own wine or other beverages.  Registration is limited to 10 to allow for social distancing.  Read our Covid policies here.
